Unfortunately, the famous Croatian musician Jasmin Stavros passed away at the age of 69. The deceased had been battling bone cancer for the last few months, a disease that took his life. We remember that Jasmin started the battle with the serious illness in the middle of March. After the news about his illness became public, the musician said that:

"It all started with a duodenal ulcer. Then I was operated on in Karlovac. After that they let me go home, but my back started to hurt constantly. I couldn't do anything anymore. Then they took me to Vinogradska, where I learned that I have bone cancer."

Stavros lindi në Split në vitin 1954 dhe vinte nga një familje muzikantësh. Ai mbaroi shkollën e mesme të muzikës (piano) dhe të mesmen (kontrabas), studioi edhe për solo, ku mësoi edhe teknikat e frymëmarrjes, të cilat i mundësuan të ketë një karrierë të gjatë si këngëtar. Në moshën 12 vjeçare, ai filloi të luante bateri. Nga viti 1978, ai punoi si baterist në studio në Jugoton (sot Croatia Records). Ai ishte një nga bateristët më të kërkuar në ish-Jugosllavi. Në pesë dekada në skenë, ai kaloi gjithçka. I ndjeri publikoi albumin e tij të fundit në vitin 2017.
