Singer Christos Santikai: I feel Greek, I remember the gunfire when I left

Albanian singer, Christos Santikai, has recalled his childhood and the period when, in 1997, he moved from Albania to Greece with his family. He has confessed that, despite the fact that he left Albania, he has never felt like a displaced person, as he grew up in Greece and considers himself Greek.

Christos explained that the decision to leave the country came overnight, as there were not many options to stay. He said that, although he was born in Albania in 1994, he came to Greece at the age of his son, growing up completely in this country.

"I was born in 1994 in Albania and came to Greece in 1997. I came here when my son was a little boy. I don't think I left home because I don't feel it. I feel like I'm Greek and I grew up here. The only memories I have are the gunshots, because they started in my town too," he told Greek media.
