Nike is facing huge controversy after choosing transgender Dylan Mulvaney to advertise the brand's sports recipes. The 26-year-old has yet to undergo gender reassignment surgery, but is undergoing hormone therapy to transform into a woman.

"When will these companies realize that women don't want men who dress like them to advertise their products. Dylan Mulvaney is making fun of women. Nike chooses her among all those women who train hard and work hard. What a shame. Very defamed", reads one comment. "Why isn't a woman hired to promote women's clothing?" asked another commenter.

Mulvaney is a 26-year-old actress, comedian and content creator. Mulvaney grew up in San Diego and was a self-described "theatre kid."
