OHDIR report, Stano: Elections in Serbia with many irregularities

The spokesperson of the EU, Peter Stano, reacted after the publication of the OSCE-OHDIR report, according to which numerous violations were found in the last elections in Serbia.

"The report on early parliamentary elections confirms the concerns that the electoral process requires tangible improvement and further reforms. Reports of irregularities must be handled transparently, including those related to local elections ," Srano wrote in X.

Stano wrote that the EU welcomes that the Serbian authorities expressed their willingness to work with ODIHR to implement the recommendations.

"There is no time to lose before the next elections in the country" , he emphasized.

The OSCE ODIHR report found that in the last elections in Serbia, there was vote buying, pressure on employees, misuse of public funds, harsh rhetoric against opponents, and dominance by President Aleksandar Vucic.

Therefore, the government does not agree with the conclusions of this report.
