Tensions/ Vucic: Kurti wants to cause a collapse in the region

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has reacted to the tense situation in the North of Kosovo.

In an unusual speech at the Presidency, Vucic said that the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, wants to incite conflict between the Serbs and NATO.

"In the last three days, even a weak and politically illiterate person was able to understand what was being prepared for today and everything in Kurt's organization, with the desire to have a big conflict between the Serbs and NATO and the one who he is the only one to be blamed for everything that is happening, that he washes his hands of Pilate and says that he has nothing to do with him" , Vucic said.

According to the Serbian media, after his address in Belgrade, he will visit the border with Kosovo, where the Serbian army is stationed.

We remind you that the Serbian citizens have tried again to block the facilities of the municipalities and prevent the entry of the new Albanian mayors.

The Kosovo Police and KFOR surrounded the official buildings while the situation escalated as they fired tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Due to the rekindling of tensions, it has been announced that schools in the north of Kosovo will be closed and classes will be temporarily suspended.

For the recent developments in the north, there have been numerous reactions from the United States of America and the European Union, who asked not to escalate the situation as this does not help the dialogue process between the two countries.
