Tragic in Athens, the 3-year-old lost his life after being shot in the head

A 3-year-old boy died after being shot in the head during a shootout between two vehicles near Athens, in an incident allegedly involving members of the Roma community.

The child was initially rushed to the Markopoulo Health Center by medical services, but then the parents rushed him to the Aglaia Kyriakou Children's Hospital in Athens, about 18 miles away, accompanied by police on motorbikes.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, but so far no other details about the suspects or the reason for the shooting have been released.
