Vučić dismisses Serbian ambassador to Zagreb after Albania-Croatia-Kosovo military agreement

Vučić dismisses Serbian ambassador to Zagreb after Albania-Croatia-Kosovo

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has dismissed Jelena Milić, the Serbian ambassador to Zagreb, according to a decision published in the Official Gazette of Serbia. The decision took effect immediately, but no specific reason was given for her removal from the post.

This development comes after the signing of a military agreement between Albania, Kosovo and Croatia on March 18 in Tirana, an agreement that has caused great tensions between Serbia and Croatia. President Vučić has sharply criticized this cooperation, considering it a new arms race in the region.

"We got the message. We will do everything to protect our country," Vučić declared, stressing that Serbia will react in accordance with developments.

On the other hand, Croatia has responded by emphasizing its right to cooperate with countries it wishes in the field of defense. The military agreement was signed by the Albanian Defense Minister, Pirro Vengu, the Kosovo Minister of Defense, Ejup Makedonci, and the Croatian Minister, Ivan Anusic.

This agreement has caused an escalation of tensions in the Balkans, affecting diplomatic relations between Serbia and other states in the region.
