Ivana Trump, the first wife of Donald Trump, was found dead at the age of 73 two days ago in her apartment in New York.
The New York City medical examiner's office has recently confirmed that her death came after she fell down the stairs in her apartment, writes the BBC .
It was initially reported that she died of a cardiac arrest, but an autopsy has concluded that Ivanka died from her injuries after falling down the stairs.
Until now, it is believed that her death was accidental, however, it has not yet been fully clarified.
Ivana Trump, who was born in what was then Czechoslovakia, married the former president in 1977. They divorced 15 years later in 1992.
"She was a wonderful, beautiful, wonderful woman who led a wonderful and inspiring life," Trump said.
They had three children together - Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump.
