"The luxurious life of Albanian prisoners expelled from Britain"

Albanian criminals convicted in Great Britain are being sent to spend time in the chambers of love. Convicts in England have been transferred to Albanian prisons where they can enjoy four hours a month of conjugal visits.

Around 200 criminals including murderers and rapists are set to be transferred to quiet prisons in Albania under a deal with the UK Government. According to the regulation, every prison must have a special environment for the meetings of spouses.

"Such an object should have beds and sheets that should be changed at the end of each meeting. "Extended visits are allowed for the convict who is married or cohabiting under the Family Code after the wife has been checked by the police," the regulation states.

Other benefits include weekly food and clothing packages from the family, personal cooking facilities and up to seven days' leave for good behaviour. Among the repatriates is also a drug kingpin, who was transferred to a prison in the Albanian capital, Tirana, two weeks ago.

Erald Mema, 39, was sentenced to 25 years by a judge at Oxford Crown Court in October 2018 for a large quantity of cocaine. He is among the many Albanian citizens who have been given the opportunity to move to facilities at home under a repatriation scheme, writes The Mirror.

About 12 murderers, eight rapists and more than 100 drug or firearms offenders are expected to return to serve the rest of their sentences. Some will serve less time than if they had remained in the UK, as the sentences have been adjusted to the sentence they would have received from the justice system in Albania. In some cases this is lower, but in UK prisons the worst are released halfway on license to vacate places./ The Mirror
