The President of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, has elected Goritsa Grancharova-Kozhareva to the post of acting Prime Minister of the country.
Grancharova-Kozhareva, who until now has been the head of the Chamber of Audit, must now appoint Bulgaria's acting cabinet.
The new government must send the names of the cabinet by August 19 at the latest.
"From tomorrow, I will start talking with the current ministers and other experts", said Grancharova-Kozhareva
Radev's decision, made public on August 9, comes after the political parties failed in three attempts to form a Government, after holding the elections on June 16.
Radev said that new early parliamentary elections will likely be organized on October 20.
These will be the seventh parliamentary elections in three years in Bulgaria./ REL
