The famous comedian George Logan has passed away

George Logan, known for his appearance in "Hinge and Bracket", passed away at the age of 78. The performer shot to fame playing Evadne Hinge in a series of TV and radio shows in the 1970s and 80s. The South Lanarkshire-born comedian got his start in drag with fellow comedian Patrick Fyffe at the 1974 Edinburgh Festival.

The two comedians met performing in London clubs in the 1970s, before being recruited by the BBC. Logan's partner Patrick Fyffe, who played Dame Hilda Brackett, died of cancer aged 60 in 2002.

In the 2015 book, George explained his first foray into show business at a bar near where he lived. In addition, Logan also participated in other shows such as "Dear Ladies", "Dawson and Friends", etc. The late comedian was born on July 7, 1944 in Rutherglen, Glasgow leaving behind a sensational career. In 2015, he wrote about his experiences growing up gay in 1960s Glasgow in his book A Boy Called Audrey.
