The Balkan region cannot be stable without Serbia joining the European Union, stated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whose visit to Belgrade was extremely friendly, with much praise exchanged with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who reiterated that “it doesn’t occur to him” to accept the criticism coming from European ranks against Orban and his method of rule.
After meeting with Vucic, Orban said that today Serbia is much more important to the EU than vice versa and that this might not be apparent from the shores of the Baltic Sea or the Atlantic Ocean, but that is quite clear from Budapest.
Orban added that Hungary is committed to Serbia’s Euro-integrations and that he expects the EU to open Chapter 6 with Belgrade, for which is already prepared.
