Meta: In Albania, the mafia rules, no one is untouchable if Rama wants

The President of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, in an interview with the Slovenian media "Delo", said that the mafia is ruling Albania.

"The situation in the field of organized crime in Albania is much worse than in Colombia. In Colombia, Escobar was elected deputy, but the country always fought against the mafia, and in Albania the mafia rules. The EU has looked down on autocrats in Europe for too long and that's why we are where we are,"

As the new justice talks about putting an end to the myth of impunity, Meta says that he does not believe it. He is of the opinion that this new justice is led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"This is not a proper order. Here we are dealing with guided justice. It is led by the prime minister, who occasionally sacrifices one of his colleagues, uses him as an instrument of corruption and throws him away at the right moment. What he thinks is more important is that the corruption deals continue unhindered and he is protected by justice," said Meta.
