Tabaku: The crisis in the pockets of Albanians is a consequence of misgovernment

Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has criticized the socialist government for the current state of the economy in the country, calling it "false and unstable."

In a reaction published on the social network Facebook, Tabaku said that Albania is experiencing artificial economic growth, based mainly on employment in the state sector, while real sectors such as agriculture and industry are experiencing continuous decline.

According to her, domestic consumption has fallen significantly and tourism cannot compensate for either depopulation or the growing impoverishment of Albanian families.

In the end, Tabaku proposes an alternative model of development: an economy that supports domestic production, invests in agriculture and industry, eases the burden on entrepreneurship, and restores the dignity of work and consumption to every Albanian family.

UK car production fell to its lowest level for May since 1949 as US tariffs hit exports, an industry group said.

An economy that does not work for the citizen

Albania is experiencing artificial economic growth, supported only by the growth of employment in the state, while agriculture, industry and other sectors are in decline. This is an economy that is inflated from above but is being destroyed from within.

Consumption has fallen. Tourists cannot compensate for the departure of our citizens and the impoverishment of Albanian families. The economy is not sustained by seasonal vacationers, but by a population that works, produces and consumes.

The socialist government has built an unstable and dishonest model:

– Artificial increase in state salaries

– Shrinkage of real sectors

– Dependence on tourism

– Depopulation and decline in consumption

Therefore, we propose a different model: an economy that supports domestic production, invests in agriculture and industry, eases the burden on entrepreneurship, and restores the dignity of work and consumption to every Albanian family.

The pocketbook crisis is no coincidence – it is a direct consequence of socialist governance.

A government that has embraced clientelism, abandoned production, and only serves a minority. That's why we have this crisis: because for 12 years, no economy was built, but a facade for propaganda.

Albania needs more than growth on paper. It needs real development, which affects the daily life of every citizen.
