"The Task Force acted selectively"/ Bushati: SPAK was a government

Analyst Andi Bushati has described the "Task Force" set up to guarantee the elections on May 11 as a total failure.

In an interview given to Syri TV, Bushati says that the Task Force was set up simply to create a sense of equality that did not actually exist, as in reality, the elections were deeply unequal and manipulated through the use of public administration, vote buying, and other serious violations.

Bushati stressed that SPAK has acted selectively, targeting only opponents of Prime Minister Edi Rama, and deliberately ignoring clear evidence of electoral crimes, such as the theft of citizens' data or the buying of votes in Elbasan.

He emphasized that every citizen's trust in an independent prosecutor has already been destroyed, openly declaring that "on May 11 there were no elections, but votes,"  a democratic farce directed and controlled by the government.

Excerpt from the interview:

The famous Task Force was a failure, to go parallel with a public sensation that these elections were unequal, the administration was used, votes were bought and manipulated. SPAK has hit in these elections in a way only Rama's opponents. If there were people, useful idiots who until yesterday trusted SPAK, after May 11 SPAK took away the opportunity for these people to continue and trust an independent prosecutor.

It's not a matter of statistics and numbers. SPAK has evidence that it has taken electoral crimes to other prosecutors' offices. There is evidence that it has not investigated the theft of personal data of 900 thousand citizens by the Socialist Party. There is also evidence that it has overlooked the buying of votes in Elbasan, with identity cards and money found in the car.

SPAK's past also shows us the present that no real electoral crime is investigated. There have been dozens of accusations against Elvis Roshi, only when Roshi betrayed Rama and went over to the opposition did he become a subject.

SPAK has been a government tool in these elections and for those who had an illusion, this illusion has been shattered. On May 11, there were no elections, but there were votes. Celibashi's statements do not prove what I say, they are the smallest violations, or the tip of the iceberg.

Despite being a serious crime, the use of the administration is one of the easiest phenomena of elections. Here the vote was manipulated. The fact that SPAK had the troplini file and decided to investigate them after the elections is the best indicator of what happened.

"When elections are criticized for electoral reform, it's the funniest refrain I've heard in 30 years. Our problem is not with the reform. With this Electoral Code that we have today, we have produced rotation. The evil is not in the formulation of the law, but in its violation."
