Lulzim Basha says 'he has not lost any race', but failed in seven

Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha, commenting on the negative result of the DP in the March 6 elections, said that he has not lost any race in his life, but has faced electoral massacres.

" I want to tell the propaganda that I have not lost any race but we are talking about election massacres. "Especially in this battle and in these two battle plans is the return of trust to the Albanians",  said Basha.

But in fact, how many elections has Basha lost since 2013 when he took over the leadership of the Democratic Party?

His balance in the direction of PD is the deep loss in 7 pairs of elections.

Although he tried to expose himself to the public as a leader with a Western vocation, the DP leader became part of some highly controversial decisions, culminating in the burning of mandates and the boycott of the 2019 local elections. Two decisions that led to further weakening of DP under his leadership and complete exit from the system.

If we were to summarize the by-elections in Korça and Dibër, the figures speak clearly against Basha. Under Lulzim Basha, the Democratic Party lost the 2015 local elections, the 2017 parliamentary elections. The DP leader also lost two pairs of local elections in Korça and Dibër.

His last hope was the parliamentary elections of April 25, which practically gave him the biggest blow.

Finally, Basha got a very poor result in the local by-elections in 6 local municipalities held yesterday.

Apart from the municipality of Rrogozhina where the second force came out, in the other 5 municipalities it was ranked third. Despite deep and successive losses, so far Lulzim Basha has refused to resign from the leadership of the Democratic Party.
