In the city of Korça, tributes were held in honor of Egli Proga, the 42-year-old who died from the violence exercised by Denis Meçe.

Citizens gathered at the Cathedral where they also lit candles.

One of them, in a statement to the media, called on the institutions to clarify the incident, to do justice and to protect the life of every citizen.

"We call to pay tribute to the unjust death of Egli, who was killed and showed that for all of us life is unsafe in this country. Today it was Egli, tomorrow it could be anyone. We believe that we must pay tribute, we must make a call for justice, we must all come together, to understand that life must be protected. We turn to the institutions that have the duty to protect our lives. All citizens have felt the pain that a parent left behind his wife and two small children. We demand justice and security for our lives", said a citizen.
