The Ambassador of France in Albania Elisabeth Barsacq has stated that there should be no division of Albania and Northern Macedonia in the EU integration process.

This statement comes at a time when France has taken over the rotating presidency of the European Union and when Bulgaria continues to veto MV. Bulgaria and not only, have demanded the separation of Albania from Northern Macedonia, so that our country is not held hostage. But apparently this option is not supported by France.

"On this issue, I think we need to overcome the idea that the two countries can be separated. I know that many say that the two countries have been treated together and since things are not going well for Northern Macedonia because of Bulgaria, then they should be separated. "This must be overcome and we must do our best in order to hold the two intergovernmental conferences at the same time" , said the ambassador for "Euronews Albania".
