Mini-Schengen meeting, diplomat: A marriage of interests of three countries will

Former Albanian Ambassador to the UN Agmin Nesho commented on the meeting of the leaders of Albania, Serbia and Northern Macedonia in Skopje for the initiative called "Open Balkans".

Nesho called the initiative a "marriage of interests of the three countries", while stressing that it will not be long-term. Calling it an unnecessary meeting, he said the lack of markets is not a problem, but that Serbia requires more dominance.

The diplomat told "A2 cnn" that this is a form of pressure on the EU, after refusing to open negotiations.

"It was an unnecessary meeting. I think it was a marriage of interests of the three countries that in certain positions had their objections against Brussels and the EU in the delay of integration.

The problem is not in free spaces or lack of markets. Serbia remains dissatisfied with the conditions that the EU imposes on Serbia not to have its dominant spaces, as well as the various geopolitical spaces in the Balkans that could enable the exit of Greater Serbia.

"All these, together with official Tirana, represented by Rama, who failed to open negotiations, have joined this initiative, which will not bring a product and will not be long-term" , said Nesho.
