The 20-year-old Albanian jumped into the Salzach river while being chased by the police, but even though the officers who were chasing him pulled him out of the icy water, the young man was not able to survive.

According to local media, the 20-year-old refused to stop the police and quickly left with the car that was allegedly stolen. The police suspected that the young man was engaged in illegal activities and therefore tried to leave and not stop in front of the police forces.
