The murder of Pjerin Xhuvan, the hearing against the former RENEA officer is

The Court of Appeal has postponed the hearing against former RENEA officer Arbër Paplekaj, who is accused of murdering Pjerin Xhuvan a few days before the 2021 elections.

The next session will be held on April 9 at 12:30, while the reason for the postponement was the reconstruction of the crime scene.

Paplekaj was killed on April 21, 2021, 4 days before the April 25 parliamentary elections, Pjerin Xhuvani, a supporter of the Socialist Party, was killed in Elbasan. He was part of a "SMV", the structure for Vote Protection set up in Elbasan by PD.

After a verbal fight after SMV suspected that Xhuvani was part of a group that bought votes, the murder took place where Xhuvani was killed and 4 other people were injured. The injured were Paulo Vuksani, Emiljano Prenga, Eltjon Bodinaku and Xhensila Sota.
