In Pristina, the court continues the detention measure for the three suspects in the murder of Liridona Ademaj

The Basic Court in Pristina has decided to extend for another two months the detention measure for Naim Murseli, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava, suspected of the murder of Liridona Ademaj. The detention measure for the three suspects will last until December 24, 2024.

According to the announcement by the spokesperson of the Court, Mirlinda Gashi, on October 24, 2024, the court approved the request of the Basic Prosecution in Pristina to continue the measure of detention for the defendants NM, GP and KK

The three suspects were initially arrested in December 2023, with the court ordering a 30-day pretrial detention, a decision that was later confirmed by the Court of Appeal.

Meanwhile, a fourth suspect, TD, who is accused of selling the gun to Doras, was initially arrested on December 9, 2023 and held in custody until December 11. The court then ordered that he be granted bail following his appeal against earlier rulings by two lower courts.

The motives of the murder of Liridona Ademaj, who had Swedish citizenship and lived with her family in Sweden, have not yet been revealed.
