The first Albanian speech in the Serbian parliament, the deputy replies with

The representative of the Albanians in the Assembly of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi yesterday gave a speech in Albanian in front of other deputies of this Assembly.

Despite the constant interventions of Serbian Parliament Speaker Ivica Dacic, Kamberi continued to speak in Albanian against the decision of the Supreme Court in Belgrade that refused to find Minister Aleksandar Vulin guilty of discrimination, insult and hate speech against Albanians.

Kamberi said that with this action the Court of this state has legalized the offensive term "ariiptari", writes the Express newspaper.

"Today is a special day. It is the first day that a Court of this state has legalized the offensive term "šiptari". The Supreme Court in Belgrade has refused to find Minister Aleksandër Vulin guilty of discrimination, insult and hate speech against Albanians. The decision of the Court of Appeals at the end of 2018, which had sanctioned the use of the term "tariptar" as hate speech, is no longer valid for the High Court. "The opinion of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Bernakica Jankovic, is not valid either, who has described the use of the term 'Cypriot' as derogatory, insulting and a violation of the Law on Prevention of Discrimination," he said.

FIRST ALBANIAN SPEECH IN THE PARLIAMENT OF POST-WAR SERBIA

Dear citizens of the Republic of Serbia,

Ladies and gentlemen deputies,

Gospodine Presedniče;

Dobar dan - Good day

Today is a special day.

It is the first day since a Court of this state has legalized the offensive term "šiptari".

The opinion of the Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Bernakica Jankovi., Who described the use of the term "“iptar" as derogatory, insulting and violation of the Law on Prevention of Discrimination, is also not valid.

As it is known, the former spokesperson of Mira Markovic and the current Minister of Interior, Aleksandar Vucic, constantly uses the insulting terminology "tariptar" instead of the official and legal terminology in Serbia: "albanac".

Already with the decision of the court of this state, from today I am "šiptar" and not Albanac.

So, one day Aleksandër Vulin woke up and decided who I am and what my nationality is, and this was legalized by the state court!

Same as in Germany in the late 1930s, when Minister Hermann Goering decided who the Jews were and how they were described, and then the Gestapo courts legalized it.

Declaring the lawsuit of the Albanian National Council as unfounded, the Court has already given legal force to the institutionalization of hate speech, intolerance and xenophobia against Albanians in general, and those in Serbia in particular.

Mrs. Merkel, Mr. Macron, Mr. Borrel, Mr. Lajcak, Mrs. Vonder Leyen, is this your pro-European Serbia?

This did not happen even during the regime of Slobodan Milosevic, who killed, raped and expelled Albanians, calling them Albanians.

But under the silence of the democratic world, Aleksandar Vucic's Serbia is returning to the time of Aleksandar Rankovic, known as the last period of official and public use of the term "Ciptar".

Respected colleagues,

The decision of the Supreme Court in Belgrade is a very dangerous precedent for minorities in Serbia, but also in the entire Western Balkans.

It creates a legitimate standard for hate speech against minorities not only in Serbia but also in the Western Balkans.

How would Serbian society react if Alexander Vulin's Kosovar counterpart woke up one day and decided that from today Serbs are called by the pejorative term "shkije" and this was legalized by the court in Pristina?

Is this what Vulini and Vucic want for Kosovo Serbs?

No, you will not be able to incite this mutual hatred to maintain your power by playing the patriot in Serbia.

And you continue to publicly and legally insult the minorities of your state. So insult your state more.

Mr. Vulin and Mr. Vucic, remind you that the Albanians were also called Arnaut by Cubrilovic, but did not submit.

We are not subject to you either. You have it in vain!

Even after yesterday's court ruling, I am even more convinced that your hate Serbia will not win.

The Balkans have no alternative to peace, coexistence and mutual respect.

Therefore, your downfall has no alternative!

In this case, my question to Prime Minister Brnabic is whether this language of hatred will be installed as a standard in your government in communicating with minorities and especially with Albanians?
