Republika Srpska Leader Sends Letter of Support to US President Trump

Bosnian Serb leader and a member of the Bosnian Presidency Milorad Dodik has sent a support letter to Donald Trump saying that those who are attacking him and dismissing him are undermining the patriotic values that the US President is fighting for.

“They threaten [these values] both in America and around the world because many smaller countries are oriented toward the US,” Dodik wrote.

In his letter of support, Dodik emphasized that America, as the world’s leading power, directed the key global processes and thus it was vital for the world that the US be led by someone who cared about sovereignty and patriotism, like incumbent President.

“That is why I express my full support for President Trump, because supporting him means the support for patriotic and sovereign values we care about and that we have been fighting for decades. We are convinced that more democratic and humane world order can be built only on this basis,” Dodik wrote.

Dodik quoted Trump at the end of the letter adding that he and all the Bosnian Serbs were behind those words.

“If you want freedom, be proud of your country. If you want democracy, hold on to your sovereignty. If you want peace, love your nation. Wise leaders always think of the well-being of their people and country first. The future does not belong to the globalists. The future belongs to the patriots,” Dodik wrote.

Dodik, former president of the Republic of Srpska [RS] the Serb-led entity in Bosnia, and now the Serbian member of the Bosnian state presidency, was blacklisted by the former Democratic administration in the US for breaching the terms of the 1995 Dayton Peace Agreement that ended the 1992-95 Bosnian war. Dodik is still not allowed to travel to the United States.

Dodik is also known as a big fan and close associate of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
