Berisha cries in Tropoja: I often think, blessed that I was born in the Gjakova

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha did not hide his emotions during the meeting with the Democrats through the 'Foltore' that is being held today in Tropoja.

While he described this trip as half heavenly and half earthly, Berisha appeared in a tearful moment from the enthusiastic reception in front of the Democrats.

Berisha said that he often comes to mind in Tropoja and that he feels blessed for his birthplace.

" Floriana Garo asked me what the trip to Tropoja was like, half heavenly and half earthly, I answered her. I often come to my mind more often than anywhere in the world, I come to my hometown, but even more often than anything else I repeat to myself what a great fortune I had and how blessed I was to be born in the Gjakova Highlands.

After decades are hers, after branches in Tirana, hundreds of trips around the world, in my hometown I graduated from the most important university of my life, I got the diploma of all the diplomas of my life. In the beginning of my memory, in my family as well as hundreds of thousands of families of Malësia e Gjakovës, Nikaj, Mërtur, Dukagjini, in all these areas there were men's rooms. There was no radio, there was no television, but our whole life passed from school to the room and vice versa, but what was the truth, the truth was that in the room I and my peers were taught with a boundless love for the country, for Kosovo, Kosovo was a sacred land for those men.

While schools and books had banned Kosovo, not a word was said about one of its cities, its artist, its writer. Kosovo did not exist for Enver Hoxha because he had sold it. That is why he named the Gjakova Highlands, the district of Tropoja, Tropoja was the center, but this area is the Gjakova Highlands. In the chamber I received the elixir of my life, boundless love for the country, boundless love for Kosovo " , said Berisha.
