Since the beginning of this process, Berisha himself and the opposition have publicly stated that this is nothing but a political trial ordered by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Doubts are also strengthened by the fact that the lawyer himself had only asked for two hours to get acquainted with a voluminous file of 200 pages, after the Special Court announced that the hearing against Berisha would continue with a lawyer appointed by the state.

We remind you that Simoni was appointed by the court with the same role to represent the former minister Fatmir Mediu in the session of June 7, because the sessions were postponed due to the lack of defense lawyers.
