"King" of cryptocurrencies Faruk Ozer has been extradited to Turkey. He was arrested in Himare on August 30, 2022, as a result of the coded police operation "Brain", developed by the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with FAST Albania, DVP Vlorë and Interpol Tirana.

The 29-year-old was declared an international wanted man after the High Court of Istanbul had issued an arrest warrant against him in 2021, for the criminal offenses of "Creating a criminal organization" and "Fraud with serious consequences".

POLICE NOTICE:

Extradited to Turkey, internationally wanted, for defrauding 391,000 citizens, through crypto-currencies, fraud with economic damage of 2 billion dollars.

This citizen was captured on August 30, 2022, in Himarë, as a result of the police operation coded "Brain", developed by the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with FAST Albania, DVP Vlorë and Interpol Tirana.

This morning, the specialists of Interpol Tirana, those of the Elite Force RENEA and the services of the General Directorate of Prisons, escorted to Rinas and handed over the citizen FO, 29 years old, to the counterparts of Interpol Ankara, in order to extradite him to Turkey.

The citizen FO was internationally wanted, as he is accused of defrauding around 391,000 members of this platform and benefiting from around 2 billion dollars through the cryptocurrency exchange platform. In 2021, the High Court of Istanbul issued an arrest warrant against this citizen, for the criminal offenses "Creating a criminal organization" and "Fraud with serious consequences".

As a result of the cooperation of Interpol Tirana with Interpol Ankara, it became possible to arrest the citizen FO, in Albania, within the "Brain" operation, and then finalize the procedures with his extradition to Turkey.
