Residents of Roskovec protest against the new power plant: Rama should cancel

Dozens of residents of the Roskovec municipality, the villages of Suk1, Suk 2, Arapaj, Jagodina and Strum protested today against the construction of the new thermal power plant.

In a sign of revolt, residents have set fire to one of the concrete pillars that was placed to mark the TEC.

They stated that the plant to be built will cause environmental pollution, which will then cause damage to the health of residents of the surrounding area.

"This is a livestock and agricultural area. Over 750 hectares of greenhouses that produce for our country, the EU and the Balkans ," said one of the residents.

Another called on Rama to cancel the project.

"I appeal to the prime minister. We are in favor of voting to just cancel this. Many residents are afraid to come out because they were pressured by the mayor ," said another resident.
