The proposal was made at the seventh joint intergovernmental meeting in Elbasan a few days ago. Prime Minister Edi Rama said that in case of a referendum on national unity, he would vote in favor.

Serbia's reaction did not delay, following Prime Minister Rama's statements on national unity. Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that "the intentions of Albania and Kosovo are laying a new stone in undermining the foundations of regional stability and security."
