Two Albanians voluntarily join the fighting in Ukraine

The Russian military offensive, ordered by President Vladimir Putin, has not stopped the attacks and bombings on Ukraine even though the two delegations are in talks to reach a solution.

Among the military fighting to defend Ukrainian territory are two Albanians. The news was confirmed by Mamuka Mamulashvili, commander of the Legion of Foreign Volunteers in Ukraine.

In an interview with Euronews Albania, Mamulashvili said that there are 20 or 30 other Albanians who have applied as volunteers to join the war in Ukraine.

"There are two Albanian volunteers who are fighting with us. They have come here to help Ukrainians defend their country. They came after the start of the conflict. There are applications from Albania but they have not arrived yet. "There are almost 20-30 applications" , he declared.

The commander said that none of the volunteers were paid, but that they came with full desire to defend the territory of the Ukrainians that has been attacked by the Russian army and tanks.

"As Albanians had their genocide, the same thing is happening here. "The Russians are deliberately killing women and children on a large scale ," Mamulashvili said.

The commander of the Foreign Volunteer Legion said that so far there is no loss of life from their group, despite the fact that the missiles have hit them almost 30 times.
