Germany issues over 60,000 work visas, Albania and Kosovo among the biggest

Germany has issued more than 60,000 visas under the Immigration Act of German Skilled Workers in 2021. This was announced by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The German Skilled Workers Immigration Act came into full force in March 2020. During the first nine months, from March to December 2020, the country managed to issue almost 30,000 visas to skilled workers and trainees from third countries.

This shows that the number of skilled workers and trainees who benefited from the German Immigration Act in 2021 increased by about 50% compared to 2020.

Among the main beneficiaries are Albanians in both Albania and Kosovo. So writes SchengenVisaInfo.com , while adding that citizens from Serbia and Bosnia have also benefited from the issuance of visas.

The mass exodus of young people has become a serious concern for the country. Qualified young people are leaving Albania in significant numbers.

However, Germany needs hundreds of thousands of new workers a year to fill the labor market as the number of able-bodied people is expected to fall drastically.
