The Parliament of Albania was left without electricity for a few minutes before the plenary session started.

The press office of the Democratic Party writes that when the leader of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha entered the hall, the electricity was immediately cut off in the Assembly.

Meanwhile, the Assembly has clarified in an announcement that the electricity has been interrupted due to the burning of the UPS.

"The session was interrupted because the UPS device, which serves to balance the energy in the hall of plenary sessions, burned down. The UPS device works exclusively for the meeting room, due to the electronic system. We are working on replacing the device,"  the announcement states.

After a few minutes of interruption, the power has returned to the hall.
