The number of foreign visitors to Albania during June has increased by 3.4 times, compared to the same period a year ago. INSTAT reports that 604,381 foreign nationals entered our country in June.

The increase comes as many countries eased travel restrictions during the tourist season, in order for the sector to recover from the damage caused by the pandemic, but also for the economy to grow.

Albania is a "Covid free" destination, as there are no restrictive measures to enter our country, or the need to be vaccinated or equipped with a negative coronavirus test.

Regarding the entries in Albania during the first 6 months, INSTAT announced that the figure has increased by 2.2, compared to 2020. 1,687,919 foreign visitors entered our country from January to June.

Kosovo Albanians top the list of foreign visitors to Albania, with 334,908 arrivals throughout June. INSTAT singles out the increase in visitors from Poland, a figure which has increased 13.8 times, compared to the year we left behind. Poland is followed by Switzerland, while the most significant decrease was in Greece, falling by 69.6%, compared to 2020.

The number of Albanians leaving the territory has also increased compared to the previous year. In June the number of exits is 501,832, a number that has increased 3.5 times compared to the same month in 2020.

As for the first 6 months of this year, the number of people who left Albania is 1,703,123. This indicator has increased by 23.4% compared to the same period a year ago.
