He was found murdered in garbage bags in Italy, Shefki Kurti's wife admits

One month after the crime, the Italian police seem to have solved the murder of the Albanian Shefki Kurti, 71 years old, a resident of Rovigo.

Local media write that the elderly man was killed and massacred by his wife Nadire Kurti. She admitted the crime and is in the Rovigo psychiatric hospital.
"Yes, I killed him. I cut him to pieces with an ax in the bathroom," she declared to the investigators.

Kurti's family members were the ones who formalized the report of the elderly man's disappearance on July 24, the day when it was also reported about a fight between the husband and his wife.

We recall that the body of the Albanian was dismembered and placed in several plastic bags which were then thrown near the Adigetto canal in Villanova del Ghebbo.

The 72-year-old pensioner, originally from Durrës, lived in Badia Polesine for years. He had created a family there after his marriage with Nadira, with whom he had three children, two sons and a daughter.
