The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti has reacted after the rumors that they entered illegally, which were said to have been distributed to the citizens in the north of the country.

In a reaction on social networks, Hoti says that if these vaccines have entered Kosovo through illegal channels, then Kosovo institutions will take the necessary legal measures against persons involved in this illegal activity.

"The Government of the Republic of Kosovo announces the opinion that based on the information from the Customs and the Border Police, there is no data that in official - legal way, in the territory of Kosovo have entered the vaccines against Covid-19, which are said to be are distributed to citizens in the north of the country.

If these vaccines have entered Kosovo through illegal channels, then Kosovo institutions will take the necessary legal measures against persons involved in this illegal activity, drug smuggling.

Otherwise, the institutions of Kosovo have not had any official communication with the institutions of Serbia regarding this issue, neither directly through the Liaison Offices of both countries nor with the mediation of the international community.

Every medical product that enters the Republic of Kosovo must be subject to import rules, whether donation or regular import, having a marketing authorization for the product, issued by KMA (Kosovo Agency for Medical Products and Equipment).

If a product does not follow this regular procedure, it is considered an illegal product. While the competent bodies take the appropriate legal actions ", writes Hoti.
