The Greek government has decided to increase the minimum wage to 751 euros. This is the third time that the Greek government has increased the minimum wage for citizens.

The first increase was approved in July of last year and came into effect in January of this year, bringing the minimum wage to 663 euros. A few months later, in May, the salary increased to 713 euros.

The increase in the minimum wage will affect the wages of 600,000 private sector employees, reports 'Prothothema' . It is noted that 56% of private sector employees in 2021 are paid with a gross salary below 900 euros, while approximately 18% received a salary that did not exceed 500 euros.

The government's decisions also provide for the removal or halving of taxes that burden business professionals in Greece.
