Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been re-elected president of Turkey for the next 5 years, after the full counting of votes. The news was made known by foreign media , according to which he managed to get 51.4% of the votes, against the opposition candidate, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who managed to get 48.6% of the votes.

Today, the second round of presidential elections was held, since in the May 14 elections, none of the candidates managed to secure the necessary majority with over 50% of the votes to be elected president.

We remind you that Turks also voted for the National Assembly in the first round on May 14. Erdogan's party has a comfortable majority in the 600-seat body.

The seats are divided as follows:

323 for Erdogan's AKP and MHP nationalists

212 for the Republicans (CHP) and Meral Aksener's Good Party

65 seats for smaller left parties.
