Italian police have carried out a large-scale anti-drug operation in Novara, dismantling an organized criminal network operating in the distribution of cocaine.

The operation, launched in the early hours of this morning, has led to the execution of six precautionary measures, including three prison arrests and other detentions for the suspects involved.

During the investigations, which began in August 2023, five arrests were also made in flagrante delicto and over 3 kilograms of cocaine were seized.

The investigation covered a criminal network with a pyramid structure and professional methods of operation, highlighting a sophisticated trafficking activity that provided large financial profits.

The organization was headed by Albanian citizen DH, 50 years old, who coordinated the distribution of the drugs and had under his orders a team of distributors, including people of different origins. The drugs were obtained by another Albanian citizen, NI, 43 years old, resident in the province of Novara, who regularly delivered 2 kilograms of cocaine every month to the criminal network.

The role of the distributors, including PD (24 years old), GE (22 years old), and others, was to distribute doses to buyers, while they received a monthly salary of around 5,000 euros.

Every morning, DH met with couriers in shopping mall parking lots, where he supplied cocaine for distribution during the day. Doses of 0.40 grams were sold for 40 euros, providing a daily profit of around 6,000 euros for the criminal group.

The group's actions were organized in such a way as to evade investigation, using advanced methods to hide from the authorities. However, after long-term monitoring and evidence obtained, the Italian authorities managed to stop their criminal activity.

Investigations continue to identify others involved and to consolidate evidence against the leaders of this trafficking network.
