Trump again accuses Zelensky of failing to broker peace in Ukraine: His

Former US President Donald Trump has again accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of obstructing peace efforts between Ukraine and Russia, stressing that his recent statements are "inciting and harmful" to negotiations.

At a press conference, Zelensky declared that Ukraine would never recognize Russian control over Crimea, annexed by Moscow in 2014. Trump's immediate reaction came through his "Social Truth" platform, where he said that this unwavering stance would only prolong the conflict.

"It is statements like these that make a peace agreement impossible. Stopping the killings must be the top priority," Trump said, while Zelensky countered that "there is nothing to discuss when it comes to the territorial integrity of Ukraine."

US Vice President JD Vance warned that the US would withdraw from the process if both sides did not show willingness to reach an agreement. In this context, two senior US officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, withdrew from the meeting in London, shifting the focus of diplomacy towards Moscow.

The United States proposal reportedly includes de facto recognition of Crimea as Russian territory – a condition that Kiev staunchly opposes.

Tensions between Trump and Zelensky are not new, but the latest clashes come at a critical moment, when the pace of peace talks has intensified but remains uncertain.
