The Secretary General of the Freedom Party, Tedi Blushi, publicly denounced the measures he describes as repressive applied to the leader of this political force, Ilir Meta, in prison.

According to Blushi, Meta has been denied the right to hold a press conference, as well as contact with one of his lawyers, Dylejman Karaj, from the "Cakrani" Legal Studio.

" Meta did not hold the press conference on my phone because a total 'blackout' for phone calls was applied in 'Jordan Misja' ," Blushi declared.

According to him, the measures intensified immediately after a telephone conversation that Meta had with journalist Beti Njuma. He accuses the government of "fear of the truth" and "suppression of freedom of speech."

" Meta is being held in extreme isolation, without any criminal facts or evidence. He is prohibited from meeting not only his lawyers, but also his family, MPs, MEPs and leaders of the Freedom Party ," Blushi said.

Blushi also made public a part of the latest SPAK report, emphasizing that there "is no fact or criminal act committed by Ilir Meta". He called this process "the farce of the century", emphasizing that "it will be dismantled in Tirana and Strasbourg".
