The Ministry of Defense has issued an updated statement regarding the fire situation in the country. It is reported that during the last 24 hours, 9 fires have been reported in five municipalities. Specifically in Tirana, Durrës, Kavajë, Lezhë and Berat.

According to information, all fires have been brought under control, without causing damage to people, homes, or livestock.

The announcement also states that regarding the risk of fires, a "high" risk level is expected in the regions of Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana and Fier, while a "moderate" risk level is predicted in the other regions.

During the last 24 hours, 9 fires have been reported in five municipalities: Tirana, Durrës, Kavajë, Lezhë and Berat.

All outbreaks have been successfully neutralized, without causing damage to people, homes, or livestock.

In 6 cases, the fire involved areas of bushes and grass, causing the burning of about 0.5 hectares.

In 2 cases, fires broke out in apartments: one in neighborhood no. 5 of the Kavaja Municipality and one in the village of Ishull Shëngjin, where material damage was caused. In the case of Ishull Shëngjin, due to a gas leak, a woman was injured and was immediately transported to the Trauma Hospital.

In another case, a private vehicle caught fire, causing only material damage.

9 operational forces and 64 firefighting vehicles have been engaged in firefighting operations.

According to the forecasts of the Institute of Geosciences, no rain is expected today.

Regarding the risk of fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected in the regions of Lezhë, Durrës, Tirana and Fier, while in the other regions a "MODERATE" risk level is predicted.

The entire Civil Protection mechanism, both at the local and central levels, remains engaged and continuously monitoring the situation.
