Albanian Taulant Malaj, who is accused of murdering his daughter and a neighbor in Italy, has been sentenced to life in prison.

The serious incident took place on May 7, 2023, when Malaj killed his 16-year-old daughter Jessica and her neighbor, Massimo De Santis, out of jealousy. According to Malaj, the neighbor De Santis was suspected of having an affair with Tefta Malaj, his ex-wife.

According to foreign media , the trial for Malaj began on March 22, 2024 before the Court of Foggia, where in recent days the prosecution had requested a life sentence for the defendant with daytime solitary confinement for one year and 6 months.

Before today's court session, it is said that Malaj was also examined after the defense had claimed psychiatric pathology against him, but the experts rejected it. As a result, Malaj was sentenced this Friday to life imprisonment.
