After leaving FC Basel, former national team player Taulant Xhaka was introduced as player-coach of the Albanian team Dardania Basel.
The 34-year-old will manage and simultaneously play for the team that is managed by Albanian owners in Switzerland.
The news was confirmed by the club itself through a statement on social media, which noted that Xhaka will be accompanied by assistant coach Argjent Trukaj.
"Xhaka's presence in the squad is not only a strengthening for the team, but also an honor for the entire Albanian community in Switzerland," the club said in a statement.
