"SP violated the agreement for the president", Balla-Alibeajt: There is no withdrawal, the candidate must have 20 signatures
The head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla reacted after the statement of Enkelejd Alibejat, who a little while ago in a statement to the media said that the SP has withdrawn from the agreement for the election of the new president.
Balla said at the mayors' conference that the candidates proposed by Alibeaj's group should only come with the signatures of Democrat MPs and that they have until Sunday to propose a name for the president.
" We have said that in this part of the process we are ready to negotiate on the names. But I have said several times that the process maintains its integrity, that the candidate proposed by the opposition be supported by signatures only by the opposition, I think everyone understands us.
We have also made calculations of how many candidates can be nominated by the opposition, and Alibeaj confirmed that they have the opportunity to nominate two candidates. "Until Sunday, they have the opportunity to propose two candidacies" , said Balla.
