Berisha with farmers: Subsidies for you will increase from 32 million euros to 230 million euros!

The Democratic leader presented the DP - ASHM program for farmers during a meeting in Dimal.

"Subsidies for you will increase from 32 million euros to 230 million euros! This will be our solemn commitment to you," said the democratic leader.

Berisha: Dear farmers of Kutallis, Ura, Dimal, Kuçova, Berat and all of Albania, I greet you warmly and thank you very much for this meeting.

I also want to greet before you the distinguished friend of the DP, mine and Albania, the deputy in the Italian parliament, Mrs. Erika Maseti, who is here today to support the Albanian opposition in this electoral campaign as proof of the close friendly ties that unite the DP with the Forza Italia party since the time of the immortal president, the great friend of the Albanians, the great Italian, Silvio Berlusconi.

Dear Eno, political leader of the Berat district, dear Gjoka, head of the agriculture department in the DP, dear heads of the DP branches in this district, esteemed candidates for deputies of the DP and the coalition for a Greater Albania, present at this meeting, who are the pride of the Albanian people, tomorrow deputies in the country's parliament.

I come to you today to present our program, with which we must guarantee every farmer of Kutalli, Berat and all of Albania that this program has as its main goal the success and increase of the well-being of Albanian farmers, who build their lives with rivers of sweat and sacrifice.

I guarantee that we will do everything to make this effort, this sweat, and these sacrifices yield more for you, for your families, and for the country.

This is the goal of our program.

We consider the discrimination that was done to you these 12 years to be unforgivable.

 

Farmers, it's enough for me to tell you a figure here, if a farmer in Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia receives 5 times more subsidies than you today, this is discrimination and punishment for you.

 

The opening of the market makes it impossible for you to compete with those who are subsidized five times more than you.

 

You have probably often heard me say that in this program, the first act we will take will be to return money to citizens.

 

This is not a slogan, but a reality.

 

The state collects value-added tax from 380,000 farmers on every purchase they make. They pay 20 percent.

 

Out of 380 thousand farmers who provide 19 percent of the country's GDP, who employ around 500 thousand Albanians, the state budget, dear friends, has left 32 million euros this year for farmers, not counting those in the administration who receive salaries.

 

Much funnier, more embarrassing.

 

At a time when Macedonia has 220 million euros, Kosovo has 4-5 times more than us. Serbia has 7-8 times more.

 

What are we going to do? We're going to give you back the money, because we take the money from you.

 

We will go from 32 to 230 million, with which we will subsidize every seedling you plant, every head of livestock you keep, every production unit.

 

This will be our solemn commitment to you.
