A serious road accident occurred this afternoon on the Çermë-Divjakë axis, near the entrance to the city of Divjakë. A "Benz" type vehicle collided with a modified motorcycle with a body, causing serious injuries to its driver.

The injured man has been identified as M. Shkoza, 78 years old, a resident of Divjaka. Due to the strong collision, the motorcycle was separated from the body, while the elderly man suffered serious injuries.

Immediately after the incident, an ambulance arrived at the scene of the accident and transported the injured man to the Lushnja hospital. After stabilizing his condition, doctors decided to send him to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for more specialized treatment. It is learned that the 78-year-old man's health condition remains serious.

According to preliminary police sources, it is suspected that the driver of the "Benz" vehicle was in an overtaking maneuver when the collision occurred. Police have accompanied the driver of the vehicle to clarify the circumstances of the accident and have launched investigations to fully uncover the causes.
