Hotolisht residents warn Rama-Balluk: Either us or you

The residents of Hotolisht have been protesting for 4 months against the "Elbasan-Qafë Thanë" highway, which destroyed their homes.

 They have also placed a coffin to show the government that they will not give up and will defend their homes for life.

"The hotolis is ready to answer, either us or you," reads a banner placed next to the coffin.

The protest was accompanied by tensions, and there were also clashes with the police. Residents sat in the middle of the road, while children also became part of the demonstration.

They have requested a meeting with Minister Belinda Balluku, who a few days ago had stated that she would attend, but then canceled.

"Anyone who intends to touch Hotolishti without consensus will face relentless resistance. Any intervention without a fair agreement with the residents will turn the situation into a path of no return. Hotolishti has men and women who will stand up for their country until the end. We do not seek confrontation but seek democratic, transparent and social solutions," says a resident.
