Soils and inert materials turn Tirana into an illegal landfill! The role of

A week ago we brought to your attention a scandal that is being consumed every day in Tirana, which has to do with the dumping of soil and inert materials, which come out of the pits of the towers that are being built. In the absence of a designated place by the Municipality, the soil is dumped everywhere in the suburban areas, causing a real environmental massacre.

Documented with clear images of the illegal ''bases'' created by the builders and under the nose of the authorities who unfortunately seem to be collaborators in this environmental crime. From Tufina, to Baldushk, Sharra, Muraga and Zallher, entire masses of waste dumped on agricultural lands and on riverbeds are clearly visible, all of this in complete illegality and under the nose of the responsible institutions.

But unfortunately, instead of raising the alarm about this massacre, illegal dumping sites are being discovered one after another, through a domino effect that best proves that everything is coordinated between the builders and the responsible institutions. To better understand the situation, we continued to follow the movements of the trucks that are loaded every day and night into the pits of the towers, and this remote observation led us to other illegal dumping sites.

Petrela, one of the most beautiful areas of Tirana, has begun to be slowly destroyed by the soils and inert materials that have taken over agricultural land, pastures and forests. And if you ask how it is possible that it has escaped the authorities, It is very simple, because here the soils and inert materials are not dumped by the residents of Petrela, but by the chairman of the Socialist Party of the area, Adriatik Kupi, who apparently, having the necessary support, does not ask about the environment at all, transforming the green area into an illegal landfill. Meanwhile, the Administrative Unit of Petrela, led by Sokol Kupi, his relative, has chosen to remain silent, becoming an accomplice in this family business to the detriment of the environment and the surrounding area.

The same serious situation is in Zallbastar, Zalldajt, Bregu i Lumit, as far as Tufina and part of the Arbri district, where thousands of cubic meters of inert materials and soil are dumped by dozens of trucks passing one after the other. Likewise in Zallher, the situation is alarming. But how is this possible? Where are the institutions? The answer is simple, the state itself is a party to this environmental massacre, since the former head of the Zallher Administrative Unit, Arben Maloku, is the one who dumped the first cubic meter of inert materials, using the trucks of the ARB Trans company, which after entering politics, passed on to the administration of his father, Shyqyri Maloku.

So the former mayor is doing a disservice to the residents of the Administrative Unit he administered, destroying the greenery and the riverbed. Let's not forget that Maloku has also been accused by the opposition of benefiting from 34 million euros in tenders from the Tirana municipality, during the time he was a senior official of this institution.

Senior officials of local units, political leaders of the majority, from corner to corner of Tirana, abusing power at the height of the election campaign.

Do we have the right to suspect that part of this illegal money can be used for electoral effects? Since the Municipality of Tirana with the police and IMT under its control, IKMT and the State Police, have no intention of intervening, shouldn't SPAK collect information about what is happening. If they are willing, they have at their disposal all the images and exact locations where the environmental massacre that is destroying Tirana every day is being carried out./Piranjat.al
