"They are destroying this place", Berisha: Saranda today, millions of

Opposition Leader Sali Berisha criticized the current government for the destruction of Saranda by concreting and for the poor treatment of pensioners, comparing it to pension increases in other countries such as Montenegro and Romania.

He promised that, after 100 days of his government, the minimum wage will reach 500 euros and a consumer card will be issued to the needy, with a 20% reduction in living costs. The list of free medicines will also be restored, following the Italian model, Berisha declared.

Berisha : Friends, this is Saranda today. If you look at Saranda, there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions of tons of concrete on all four sides that ruin this place, this unparalleled natural beauty.
So, why do we dare to talk about the magnificent Saranda? Because we come before you with such a project with the deepest conviction that we can transform, not only transform this situation with great speed.
What is our entire program based on? On two principles. Money for Albanians, money for citizens.
Second, a new opportunity for every Albanian.
Therefore, I invite the wise citizens of Saranda and all of Albania, not to judge it as a party project. Not to judge it as a political project, but to see it concretely as a project for every Albanian.
Yes, we have promised. We cannot accept this humiliation that is being done to our pensioners, no. This inhumanity towards them. There were 8 billion euros in January of this year, Edi Rama, on the table. 8 billion euros. And there was the callousness for 760 thousand pensioners, a total of 16 million euros. Was there anything more shameful?
We had brought the law to parliament to set the living minimum at 200 euros. That said, it leads to an abyss. But to what abyss does this lead? Into what abyss did Montenegro fall, that during the time it increased pensions from 143 thousand to 173 thousand, it increased them from 138 thousand to 450 thousand, what is the abyss? Where is the abyss here?
What abyss did we suffer, from 2005 to 2013, that we doubled teachers' salaries? That we doubled low pensions? That we doubled the salaries of doctors and nurses? What was the abyss?
What abyss did Kosovo suffer that increased pensions by 20% 3 months ago?
It took 100 million euros from the budget, this one 16, that one 100. He has half the pensioners, half the budget. He decided 100 million euros for pensioners.
So, it is time for every Albanian to support this project. And absolutely, this project will free you from the tyranny of misery. The tyranny of misery is the most savage tyranny, after that of class war. Saranda, Albania, a country with fabulous wealth has no cause, no reason, except for the thefts that are committed against its citizens to experience such misery.
My friends, the minimum wages here are two times lower than in Romania. At a time when, in 2013, Romania had a salary of 830 lei, 165 euros. We had 220. Today, it is 3300 lei. He has two or three times our salary. Yes, why? Think about it, that humble guy, he really does a not very high job, he has children to feed and he cannot receive a salary.
Therefore, I guarantee all Albanians that, in the Republic of Albania after the first 100 days, there will be no salary below 500 euros.
There is no greatness, despising, ignoring your people in need. That is where greatness begins, from the attitude you have towards them.
Therefore, we, in addition to what I said, will give these classes, pensioners, low-income earners, the consumer card.
We Albanians have had it. Despite us counting our virtues, but the best virtue we have had is charity, a noble charity that no one has had.
Therefore, in respect of this virtue, we will make sure that these classes receive 20% cheaper all goods for their livelihood. They will receive a VAT refund of 450 euros per year. It is as much as a minimum wage, it is as much as two pensions. And here, in addition to this, pensioners have several times more need for medicines than others. And these, one by one, have removed medicines from the reimbursement list. What have we decided?
We will copy the list of the Italian republic one by one. And I guarantee you that that list will be free for you, just like in Italy.
We can't reach Italy or Greece quickly, but in health and in sickness, we will do everything, we will spare no effort.
