Tragic accident in Italy, 21-year-old Albanian dies

A fatal accident that happened yesterday evening in the Venice area took the life of the 21-year-old Albanian, Rilind Thaqi, from Malisheva.

The young man was returning from Jesolo when the BMW car, which was driven by his 24-year-old cousin, left the road and collided with a pillar, exactly on the side where the passenger, Rilindi, was.

According to the Italian newspaper "Corriere del Vento," Rilindi died at the scene of the accident, while the driver, who suffered injuries, received medical attention and was hospitalized overnight. He was released from the hospital this morning.

The tragedy worsens even more since Rilind Thaqi, who had not seen his family for a year, was expected to return to Malishevë soon to be near his relatives.

The sad news of his death was confirmed to the family and community, who have been shocked by this tragic accident.
